   Everest Kalapathar(Black Rock) Trek

Trekking to Everest region is inarguably one of the most popular and spectacular for trekkers and mountaineers alike. It offers some of the most enjoyable adventurous and picturesque scenery of highest mountains in the world. The trip begins with a dramatic scenic flight to Lukla and the trek starts downhill to the DudhKoshi River passing through many local villages en route. This trek offers the best of the mountain scenery including the view point of Kala Patthar (5,545m) where you can see more than 30 of the highest mountains along with Mt. Everest, Everest Base Camp and the cracking glacier. In addition, you can also visit the Buddhist Monasteries, explore hidden Yeti legends, meet the friendly Sherpa people and find rare Himalayan flora and fauna

Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu & transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding (2650m)
We take a flight to Lukla which takes about 35minute. Upon arrival at Lukla we trek to Phakding by passing some intesting Sherpa village and stone carving mani walls. Overnight stay in Hotel in Phakding
Day 03: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440 m.)
Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440 m.) 6hrs. This day you will trek and cross the river on high suspension bridges. You will walk through the Sagarmatha National Park. You will then ascend quite steeply to Namche and along the way, if the weather is clear, you will see Mt Everest, Mt. KusumKangaru, Mt. Thamserku, Mt. Konde-Ri&Tawache peak in the distance. You will visit some of the village monasteries on the way of trekking to Namche Bazaar. Namche is the main trading village in the Khumbu region and holds a busy Saturday market.
Day 04: Rest at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization
You will rest at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and excursion around the places. Namche has an abundance of lodges, teashops and souvenir shops as well as a magnificent outlook. It is an ideal place to spend a rest day for acclimatization to the high altitude before heading off towards Tyangboche. For the acclimatization you will walk up to Khunde Hospital which was set-up by Sir Edmund Hillary, or an hour walk up to the Syangboche (3800m.) where Everest View Hotel is situated. From above Namche you will have outstanding view of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse,Ama Dablam, Thamserku and KusumKangaru.

Day 05: Namche Bazaar to Tyangboche (3850 m.)
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tyangboche (3850 m.) 5hrs. From Namche, the trail contours around the side of the valley, high above the DudhKosi. Now you will have a glimpse of first really good views of the great peaks of the Khumbu including Mt Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and KusumKangaru . Passing by several villages and numerous tea shops, the trail descends steeply to a bridge over the river DudhKoshi at PhunkiTenga( 3250m.).The village has an excellent place for lunch and you can take a short rest before making the steep climb to Tyangboche. Although exhausting due to the zigzag path, the trek has numerous attractions like rhododendron bushes, beautiful birds chirping and superb mountain scenery making your trek exciting. Tyangboche is famous for its legendary monastery, the largest in the Khumbu region.

Day 06: Tyangboche to Dingboche( 4350m.)
Trek from Tyangboche to Dingboche( 4350m.) 6hrs. You will gradually descend through a forest, cross the ImjaKhola and climb steadily up to the village of Pangboche. This is directly opposite to Ama Dablam (6,856 m), and has exceptional views of the mountain, with the Gompa, mani walls and scattered pine trees in the foreground. As you gradually ascend , you will find thick forests but the trail is full of thorny and juniper bushes. A further two and a half hours walk brings us to Dingboche. Here you can see Sherpa people working hard in the agricultural farm.

Day 07: Rest at Dingboche for acclimatization
You will rest at Dingboche for acclimatization and excursion in and around the places. Here you can steeply climb up to NakartsangGompa for the rare outstanding view of Mount Makalu ( 8463m.) along with Lhotse, Island Peak, Baruntse, Ama Dablam and Thamserku. The another option provided is a small side trip to Chhukung which takes about 2 and half hours to go up and 1 and a half hours to come back to Dingboche. There are some of the lodges which serve you the delicious food items.

Day 08: Dingboche(4350m.) to Chhukung (4730m.)
Trek from Dingboche(4350m.) to Chhukung (4730m.) 3hrs. The trail gradually ascends up to the Chhukung. On the way, you can see summer huts made especially for keeping the lives tocks in summer time. Along this, you enjoy the beautiful mountain views in and around the valley.

Day 09: Chhukung to ChhukungRi (5546m.) to Lobuche (4900m.)
You will trek from Chhukung to ChhukungRi (5546m.) to Lobuche (4900m.) via Dongla(4620m.) and it takes almost six hours. From ChhukungRi you can have a view of Mt. Nuptse (7896m.), Mt.Lhotse (8511m.), Baruntse peak (6800m.),Ama Dablam peak(6856m.),Thamserku peak (6608m.), KondeRi or peak(6187m.), Tawoche peak(6542m.), Cholotse peak (6441m.) and more. Now you begin your trek to Lobuche via Dongla which offers you panoramic view of the mountains along the way. The teahouse at Dongla is a good spot to have lunch, before zigzagging up through the boulders of the glacier's terminal moraine. At the top of this climb there are many stone cairns, built as memorials to the many Sherpas who have died while climbing Mt Everest. The path then climbs gently along the glacier, to eventually reach the cluster of houses at Lobuche.

Day 10: Lobuche (4900m.) to Everest Base Camp via Gorakshep (5180m.)
Trek from Lobuche (4900m.) to Everest Base Camp via Gorakshep (5180m.) and back to Gorakshep 6hrs. You will have lunch at Gorakshep, take rest and if you feel fine, you can walk to Everest Base Camp (5486m.). You will spend about 4 and half hours trek up to Everest Base Camp and back to Gorakshep. The trek is on glacier and snow capped rocks. You can also see many small frozen lakes around the Everest Base Camp and return to Gorakshep

Day 11: Gorakshep to Kala Patthar (5545m.) and trek to Dzongla (4843m.)
Trek from Gorakshep to Kala Patthar (5545m.) & trek to Dzongla (4843m.) 6hrs. Early morning climb to Kala Patthar (5545m.) & enjoy the view of shining mountains. From Kala Patthar you can have a panoramic view of Mt. Everest and many other mountain peaks like Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lingtren, Mt. Khumbetse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Thamserku and many other peaks. While trekking to Gorakshep the route descends gently up to Lobuche. Now the narrow path stretches at flat level along the riverbed for some distance and the route suddenly goes upward to Dzongla. It gives you the excellent views of Lobuche east and Lobuche west. You stay overnight here.

Day 12: Dzongla to Thangna (4650 m.)
Trek from Dzongla to Thangna (4650 m.) 6hrs. The early part of the trek goes through flat stone path for an hour passing through arid valley. Now you head towards steeply ascent path as you reach Chola glacier. You walk for half an hour along the icy trails. After you reach Chola pass the routh moves down through the stony path until you reach Phedi. Those who for camping trek they camp around here and enjoy their lunch. The path goes up and down for some distance and you arrive at ridge. From here you climb down up to Thangna. It is a small village with few lodges and tea shops. You can catch a glimpse of Machhermo peak and some others. People here mostly grow potato, buck wheat, wheat and some green vegetables.

Day 13: Thangna to Gokyo (4750m.)
Trek from Thangna to Gokyo (4750m.) 4hrs. To reach Gokyo your trail move along the glacier route until you reach first lake. The trek is easier over flat path following DudhKoshi stream up to Gokyo. It is a windy valley and situated near the third lake. From Gokyo you can enjoy DudhPokhari Lake.

Day 14: Rest day at Gokyo and excursion
Rest day at Gokyo and excursion in and around Gokyo valley.Gokyo is a trade centre where the Sherpa people run lodges to provide the best services to the trekkers.Gokyo is situated by the side of Ngozumba glacier, the biggest glacier of Nepal. This day you can make a side trip to Fifth Lake via Forth Lake.

Day 15: Gokyo to GokyoRi (5340m) & Trek to Machhermo (4410m)
Trek/climb from Gokyo to GokyoRi (5340m) & Trek to Machhermo (4410m) 5hrs. GokyoRi looms above the village on the northern edge of the lake and you leave camp just after first light, following a steep path up the hillside. As you climb, the summits of Everest, Lhotse and Makalu slowly come into sight and the view from the summit of GokyoRi itself, is one of the finest to be had in the Everest region - some say it is even better than that from Kala Patthar. After lunch it is a short walk to the village of Machermo following DudhKoshi stream. There are yak pastures and few human settlements. From here you can have an excellent view of Tawoche.

Day 16: Machhermo to Namche Bazaar (3446 m.)
Trek from Machhermo to Namche Bazaar (3446 m.) which takes about six hours. The walk from Machhermo is mostly downhill to Phortsetenga following the forest covered rhododendron, pine and local incense. After that the trails climb steeply until you reach Monglo, a place with tea shops. The path now descends gently uptoKhumjung. To reach Namche you follow flat and then down way to Namche. It grants you panoramic view of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and KusumKangaru. There are also good views from the National Park Centre and Museum just above the town.

Day 17: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2783 m.)
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2783 m.) and it takes about six hours. The last day of your trek leads from Namche Bazaar via Monjo to Lukla. The trek is pleasant, except for few short uphill climbs and then down to the Bhote-Koshi River crossing it three times. The last uphill climb of 45 minutes will bring you to Lukla for your overnight stay.

Day 18: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu
Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu. You take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu which takes about 35 minutes

Day 19:
Kathmandu valley sightseeing
Your sightseeing trip will start at 9 AM in the morning after breakfast. We will provide a private vehicle and professional tour guide. Major sightseeing places are Pashupatinath temple, Bouddhanath, Monkey temple, Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Overnight at hotel.
