Highlight of the Trip

This is a short and easy trek offering really superb view of the worlds highest peaks, including Everest, Lhotse, Thamserku, Ama Dablam and many other snowy peaks. The trail takes you up high along to Tengboche Monastery (3850m). In fact,this trek is ideal for those who have less time and still want a view of Mt.Everest. It provides a good insight into Sherpa culture without the struggle of high altitude trekking. At Tengboche we will have enough time to soak up the atmosphere along with some tremendous views of the very beautiful mountain, Ama Dablam. Finally we return to Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu.

Day 1 :

Arrival Kathmandu & transfer to hotel.

Day 2 :

Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding (2650m).

We take a flight to Lukla which takes about 35minute. Upon arrival at Lukla we trek to Phakding by passing some interesting Sherpa village and stone carving mani walls. Overnight stay in Hotel in Phakding

Day 3 :

Trek Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3441m) 6hrs.

This day you will trek and cross the river on high suspension bridge. You will walk through the Sagarmatha National Park. You will then ascend quite steeply to Namche along the way. If the weather is clear, you will see Mt Everest, Mt.Kusum Kanguru, Mt.Thamserku, Mt.Konde-Ri&Tawache peak in the distance. You will visit some of the village monasteries on the way and finally you will reach Namche Bazaar, the Gateway to Everest. There are many good hotels and lodges available here. It holds a busy Saturday market.

Day 4 :

Namche Bazaar - Acclimatization Day

Namche Bazaar rest, walk before breakfast to army camp to enjoy view of Mt. Everest from distance. Back to Namche for breakfast. Afternoon, it is good to go Tengboche (Have a lunch at Everest view hotel) or walk down to Khumjung Village for lunch. After having nice lunch back to Namche for rest. This is the best way to enjoy on this day .

Day 5 :

Namche Bazaar – Thyangboche (3867 m.)

An enjoyable walk down to the river at PhunkiThanga and have a lunch next to water driven prayer wheels. A steep but short climb takes us to Tengboche Monastery through forests of blue pine, fir and black juniper.

Day 6 :

Tyanboche – Khumjung Village (3789m)

We walk down to the river then start hiking up to Khumjung village. Many trekkers enjoy Khumjung village as they meet friendly, ever smiling Sherpa community.

Day 7 :

Trek Khumjung to Phakding( 2652m)

Day 9 :

Fly Lukla to Kathmandu

Fly Lukla to KathmanduFly from Lukla to Kathmandu. You take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu which takes about 35 minutes

Day 10 :

Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing.

Your sightseeing trip will start at 9 AM in the morning after breakfast. We will provide a private vehicle and professional tour guide. Major sightseeing places are Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath, Monkey temple, Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11 :

Transfer to airport for final departure

All arrival, departure transfers as per the program
• 3 nights hotel accommodation in Kathmandu with breakfast
• Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park Entry Permit
• TIMS Card
• 3 meals a day (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner with tea or coffee) during the trek
• Accommodation at Lodges in Twin Sharing Basis on the trek
• Sleeping bag and down jacket
• Service of an English-speaking trekking guide from Kathmandu & porter (s)
• Accommodation, meals, insurance ,equipment ,salary of guide and porter

Important Note
Please accept that you are undertaking an adventure trip at the remote Himalayan regions where weather conditions, health and fitness of the team members or unexpected natural disasters might affect your itinerary forcing us to change the scheduled program though every effort to run the program as per the original schedule is being made. When you are traveling with us we ensure your safety plus satisfaction and with employing our best team, professional service and necessary logistics, we make sure you get the most out of your holiday. Please also note our trip leader deserves the final decision for the itinerary amendment, route change or even cancel due to extreme condition for your own safety precautions therefore please be prepared in being flexible if required.
In the events of cancellations/delayed during the flights in/out of Lukla: Even during the best of trek season, it’s likely for the flights in/out to Lukla from Kathmandu to get delayed or canceled. It is advisable to put one or two extra days at the trek end as back up days to cover these eventualities. If flights operated accordingly then you can explore Kathmandu Valley or go for a Chitwan Jungle Safari or visit Pokhara in these extra days.
Cancelation: In the event of flight cancelation, we shall reschedule your flight the following day (subject to availability). Alternatively you can fly in/out to Lukla by a chartered helicopter to start/end the trek as per the planned schedule but the helicopter expenses will be your own which comes to US$350 to US$500 per person depending upon a group-size. Coming up with travel insurance is advisable which covers flight cancellations for minimum of US$500 for a day. We shall provide all the necessary documents to you to submit with your insurance company.
