Trip Highlight

Gosainkunda Chisopani trek begins from Syabrubesi up to Lake Gosaikunda and crosses over the Lauribinayak Pass (4610m). Then you will reach Phedi where small lodge are available in high trekking season. After having lunch in Phedi you will continue trek to Ghopte (3440m) where most of trekkers stay overnight after the pass. This trek passes through a varied landscape ranging from evergreen forests, cascading waterfalls and turbulent streams to subalpine grasslands and stark, beautiful mountainsides. After Ghopte a few hours walk you will reach Tharepati then you choose route to Sundarijal.

Day 1
Arrival Kathmandu and transfer hotel

Welcome you at the airport and transfer to hotel. A short briefing and introducing the guide in the evening

Day 2
Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1400m.) 8 hrs. via Trisuli Bazaar

Drive to Dhunche via Trishuli Bazaar by a local tranportDhunche . The first part of your drive up to Trisuli Bazaar is quite smooth. The second part beyond Trishuli moves along gravel road. During the rainy season, the road between Trishuli and Dhunche is sometimes blocked due to landslides.While driving you will enjoy a superb panoramic view of the Himalaya, including the Annapurnas, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal and the peaks of the Langtang region .Stay overnight at lodge in Syabrubesi

Day 3
Trek SyabruBesi (1400m) to Lama Hotel (2450m) 5hrs

The trail initially crosses the BhoteKosi, flowing down from Tibet and then gradually climbs up through the sub-tropical forests, teeming with bird-life, to join the trail from ThuloSyabru. You then follow the river by passing Bamboo & climbing though uninhabited forest of oak and rhododendron and maybe catching a glimpse of langur monkeys roaming through the trees. If you are lucky enough,you will see Red Panda & Himalayan Black Bear.You climb along a steep trail to reach a lodge for overnight stay.

Day 4
Trek Lama Hotel to Langtang village (3670m.) 5hrs

As you continue climbing there are occasional glimpses of LangtangLirung(7245m.) between the trees. At GhoraTabela (3000m) the trail emerges from the forest. Here you will find Nepalese army post though it has no permanent inhabitants around. The trail continues to climb gently and the valley widens, passing a few temporary settlements used by herders who bring their livestock to graze in the high pastures during the summer months. There is a monastery which you can visit shortly before arriving at the village of Langtang, the headquarters of the Langtang National Park. The houses of Langtang and its neighboring villages are of the flat-roofed Tibetan style, surrounded by stone walls enclosing fields of buckwheat, potatoes, wheat, turnips and barley.

Day 5
Trek Langtang village to KyangjinGompa (3900m.) 3hrs

The trail climbs gradually through small villages and yak pastures as the valley opens out further and the views become more extensive. After crossing several small streams and moraines, the trail reaches the settlement at Kyangjin. Here there is a small monastery and a government-operated cheese factory. You should arrive at Kyangjin by lunch time allowing time to acclimatize and explore the area. It is a dramatic setting with snowy peaks surrounding you in all directions. You can enjoy panoramic views of KyanjinRi (4750m.), TsergoRi (5000m.), Ganja la (5160m.), Langshisa- ri (6427m.), DorjiLhakpa (6430m.), Naya Kang (5844m.), Yala peak (5500m.) and so on.

Day 6
Rest day in Kyanjin

It is a day to rest and explore the area. You can visit the monastery and the cheese factory, walk up the moraine to see the spectacular ice faces and tumbling glaciers of LangtangLirung or ascend KyangjinRi (4350m), directly behind the village, for a breathtaking panorama of the Langtang peaks.

Day 7
TrekKyangjinGompa to Lama Hotel (2450m.) 5hrs

From Kyangjin you retrace your route, following the LangtangKhola to Langtang village and on to GhoraTabela. After lunch you continue the steep descend to Lama Hotel.

Day 8
Trek Lama Hotel to ThuloSyabru (2350m.) 5hrs

You continue retracing your steps some of the way to ThuloSyabru, but then branch left up a steep path through forest to suddenly emerge with a view of Syabru and its extensive area of millet terraces. An undulating path brings you to this fascinating village where each house is set above its neighbor, in a long line up the very crest of the ridge. It's a great place to wander about, catching glimpses of Tamang life, admiring the beautifully carved wooden windows or simply relaxing in the sun.

Day 9
TrekThuloSyabru to Sing Gompa (3330m) 5hrs

From ThuloSyabru it is a steep climb through forests of oak, fir and rhododendron to the top of a ridge. From here it is only a short descend to Sing Gompa. There is a Buddhist monastery and a small cheese factory here.

Day 10
Trek Sing Gompa (3330m) to Gosainkunda (4320m) 5hrs

From Sing Gompa you climb a ridge to the main Gosainkund trail. There are good views across Langtang valley to LangtangLirung. To the west there are dramatic views of the Ganesh Himal and Manaslu. Eventually, the trail descends from the ridge to the first of three lakes, SaraswatiKund. The second lake in the chain is named BhairabKund, and the third, Gosainkund. This lake is particularly sacred and a place of pilgrimage in the summer. According to legend, this lake was created by Shiva when he pierced a glacier with his trident to obtain water, quenching his thirst after taking some poison. Every August on Full Moon Night Lake is heaped with pilgrims for a big festival called “JanaiPurnima”.

Day 11
Trek Gosainkund to Ghopte or Thadopati 3300m. 6 hrs

After crossing the Lauribinayak pass (4610m) the trail descends through stone path, Juniper, and Rhododendron forest and beautiful water falls to reach Ghopte.Overnight at Ghopte

Day 12
Trek Ghope or Thadopati to Kutumsang 2,860m. 6 hrs

From here the trail continues upand down through forest and walking in ridge of hill. You can have a good view of Helambu and Tadhi Valley.

Day 13
Trek back Chisopani / Sundarijal to Kathmandu.

After Chisopani the trail goes uphill for one hour till Bhanjang through rhododendron and bamboo forest. From Bhanjang the trail descends all the way to Sundarijal via another forest and several villages along the way. Our vehicle will be waiting to take you to Kathmandu .It will be 1 hour drive.

Kathmandu Valley sightseeing

Day 15
